Brunette Road in Timmins to close overnight Aug. 20, 2026 for storm infrastructure work

A planned full closure of Brunette Road in Timmins is scheduled for the evening of Thursday, Aug. 20, 2026, as the city carries out overnight storm infrastructure work. The City of Timmins said the closure is expected to run from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., though the times may vary.

The closure is expected to affect drivers using Brunette Road around Algonquin Boulevard East overnight, including residents who rely on the route to reach nearby homes and businesses.

According to the city, Brunette Road will be limited to local traffic only between Second Avenue and Algonquin Boulevard East during the closure period.

The City of Timmins said Brunette Road south of the Algonquin Boulevard East intersection will be fully closed.

The city said the overnight schedule is meant to minimize traffic impact.

The disruption notice was posted on the City of Timmins website on Aug. 19.
