The Canadian government has announced changes to passport services, according to Minister of Citizens’ Services Terry Beech. A new policy guarantees that passports will be processed within 30 business days, with the promise of a free passport if the deadline is not met.

This announcement was part of the release of the first State of Service Report, aiming to enhance transparency and efficiency in service delivery. Additionally, Minister Beech reported the implementation of an online passport renewal system, designed to streamline the process for Canadian citizens.

These adjustments are part of ongoing efforts to improve the accessibility and efficiency of passport services, as outlined by Minister Beech.
