CFIA issues Class 3 recall (RA-82223) for Ernest Cider Sangria Cider in Ontario due to yeast

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency has issued a Class 3 recall notice (RA-82223) for Ernest Cider brand Sangria Cider (473 ml) distributed in Ontario because of yeast. The recall date is June 12, 2026, and the notice was published June 17, 2026.

For retailers and others handling the product, the agency’s notice says not to use, sell, serve or distribute the affected cider.

The affected product is Ernest Cider Sangria Cider in a 473 ml size. The UPC is 0 51497 49945 1.

CFIA listed two affected codes: ESC-26-238 10/02/27 and ESC-26-238 11/02/27.

CFIA classified the issue as non-harmful microbial contamination related to quality or spoilage. The product category is listed as Food – Beverages – Alcoholic.

Calabogie Brewing Co. is listed as the recalling firm, according to the CFIA notice.
