CFIA recall notification targets 40-pound cases of Chicken Wings Split distributed in Quebec
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) issued a Class 3 recall notification for 40-pound cases of “Chicken Wings Split” due to semicarbazide contamination, dated Feb. 10, 2026. CFIA said the product was distributed in Quebec and the notice targets hotels, restaurants and institutions.
For Northeast Ontario residents, the notice may be relevant for anyone who works in food service or travels to Quebec and eats in restaurants or other institutions supplied through food-service channels.
CFIA said hotels, restaurants and institutions should not use, sell, serve or distribute the affected product.
According to the CFIA notice, the affected item is listed as “Chicken Wings Split,” size 40 pound, with code 251119-22A. The alert lists no brand name and no UPC.
The recalling firm is PLS Food Dishtribution Inc., CFIA said.
CFIA classified the issue as chemical contamination and listed the alert/recall type as a notification. The identification number for the notice is RA-81603.
The notice was published Feb. 17, 2026, and CFIA lists it as last updated Feb. 13, 2026.
