CFIA recall warns of undeclared mustard in Heinz single-serve mayonnaise units

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) issued a food recall notification on Sept. 14, 2026, for Heinz brand Real Mayonnaise single-serve units because mustard is not declared on the label. The recall is listed under identification number RA-82641, and the CFIA advises people not to use, sell, serve or distribute the affected products. Ontario is among the provinces where the products were distributed.

The notice matters for anyone with a mustard allergy, and for local food-service operators that may use or stock single-serve mayonnaise packets.

The CFIA classified the issue as a food allergen alert involving mustard, and the notification is directed at hotels, restaurants and institutions.

The notice covers two Heinz mayonnaise products. One is Heinz Real Mayonnaise in a 12.5 ml size; no UPC or product codes were provided for that item in the notice.

The second product is Heinz Mayonnaise in a 6.25 L case (500 x 12.5 ml). The affected cases have best-before dates of 2027/3/27 and 2027/3/28, and the code 5 7000 0667200.

The products were distributed in Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Prince Edward Island, Quebec and Saskatchewan.

Kraft Heinz Canada ULC is listed as the recalling firm.
