CFIA Recalls Alexander's Fudge Cookies n' Cream Fudge in Ontario for Undeclared Wheat

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has recalled Alexander's Fudge brand Cookies n' Cream Fudge (225 g, UPC 6 28250 24007 8, code 09-25-25) because wheat was not declared on the label. The recall, announced August 1, 2025, affects products distributed in Ontario.

According to the CFIA, people with wheat allergies, gluten sensitivity, or celiac disease may have a serious or life-threatening reaction if they eat the recalled fudge. The agency reported that the recall followed a consumer complaint and that one allergic reaction has been connected to this product.

The CFIA advises that individuals with relevant allergies or sensitivities should not consume the product. The agency also states that affected products should not be served, used, sold, or distributed.

A food safety investigation by the CFIA is ongoing. Officials are working to ensure the removal of the affected fudge from the marketplace. The agency has indicated that further recalls may be issued if necessary, but at this time only the specified batch of Alexander's Fudge Cookies n' Cream Fudge is included in the recall.
