CFIA recalls Allo simonne Pistachio Matcha and Almond Cardamom spreads due to pieces of glass

Two Allo simonne brand products — Pistachio Matcha Spread and Almond Cardamom Spread — are being recalled because they may contain pieces of glass, according to a notice published by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA). The recall date is Aug. 25, 2026, and the alert was originally published Aug. 27.

The CFIA says people should not use, sell, serve or distribute the affected products. The agency lists distribution as online sales and sales in British Columbia and Quebec.

The CFIA describes the issue as “Food - Extraneous Material.”

The affected products listed by the CFIA are:

  • Allo simonne Pistachio Matcha Spread (220 g) — UPC 6 28437 31056 1, code 12-104-26 MA/BB 10/27
  • Allo simonne Almond Cardamom Spread (220 g) — UPC 6 28437 31007 3, code 7-104-26 MA/BB 10/27

Allo Simonne Inc. is listed as the recalling firm.

The CFIA classified the recall as Class 2. The identification number for the notice is RA-82538.
