CFIA recalls Celebration Herbals Senna Leaf Herbal Tea over possible Salmonella; sold online and in Ontario, B.C., N.B.
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency issued a Class 2 recall on Nov. 26, 2025, for Celebration Herbals brand Senna Leaf Herbal Tea because of possible Salmonella contamination. The product was sold online and in Ontario, British Columbia and New Brunswick; the recalling firm is Organic Connections Ltd.
Food contaminated with Salmonella may not look or smell spoiled and can still cause illness. Symptoms can include fever, headache, vomiting, nausea, abdominal cramps and diarrhea. Young children, pregnant women, older adults and people with weakened immune systems face higher risk of serious infection, and long‑term complications can include severe arthritis.
The recall covers Celebration Herbals Senna Leaf Herbal Tea, 24 tea bags (42 g), UPC 6 28240 20182 9, marked “BEST BY: OCT 29 2028; LOT: 251004.”
CFIA advised consumers and businesses not to consume, use, sell, serve or distribute the recalled product. The agency also advised checking for the product and discarding it or returning it to the place of purchase. CFIA said anyone who thinks they became sick after consuming it should contact a healthcare provider.
No illnesses have been reported, and the company initiated the recall. CFIA is conducting a food safety investigation that may lead to recalls of other products and is verifying that industry is removing the recalled tea from the marketplace.
