CFIA recalls Coaticook frozen mild cheddar curds in Quebec due to Listeria monocytogenes
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency has issued a Class 1 recall for Coaticook brand Mild Cheddar Curds – White, Frozen due to Listeria monocytogenes. The agency said the affected product was distributed in Quebec and should not be used, sold, served, or distributed. The recall is dated Aug. 12, 2026, and carries identification number RA-82488.
The recall provides identifying details for warehouses and others handling the product so the affected lots can be removed from circulation. The CFIA lists the audience for the notice as “Warehouse.”
According to the CFIA’s recall notice, the affected product is Coaticook Mild Cheddar Curds – White, Frozen in a 2 kg package.
The UPC for the recalled product is 10059263525017. The CFIA listed the codes as “Fabrication” 22JL26 and BB 2028-01-20.
The recalling firm is Laiterie de Coaticook Limitée, the CFIA said.
The CFIA also posted a related recall for Coaticook brand White Cheddar cheeses due to Listeria monocytogenes.
The CFIA published the recall notice on Aug. 14, 2026.
