CFIA recalls Compliments Smashed 100% Chicken Burgers over undeclared egg
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency has issued a national recall of Compliments brand Smashed 100% Chicken Burgers because egg is not declared on the label.
The notice matters for people with egg allergies or sensitivities, since undeclared allergens can cause reactions. The agency said consumers and retailers should not use, sell, serve or distribute the affected product.
The recalled item is sold in a 680 g package (8 x 84 g) with UPC 0 55742 58333 5.
The CFIA said the recall applies to all codes where egg is not declared on the label.
The recalling firm is Leadbetter Foods Inc.
The CFIA classified the recall as Class 2, with identification number RA-82572 and recall date of Aug. 27, 2026.
CFIA posted the alert on Aug. 31, 2026, and updated it the same day.
