CFIA recalls Europena Gluten Free Black Garlic (Marinade) for undeclared soy

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency has recalled Europena brand Gluten Free Black Garlic (Marinade) because the product contains soy that is not declared on the label. The recall is dated Sept. 15, 2026, and the agency lists distribution in British Columbia.

The CFIA’s notice identifies the issue as “Food – Allergen – Soy,” information that may matter to people and workplaces that need to avoid soy. The agency’s distribution details list British Columbia and do not list Ontario.

The CFIA said people should not use, sell, serve or distribute the affected product.

The recalled product is Europena Gluten Free Black Garlic (Marinade) sold in 4-litre containers. The UPC is 8 82879 00330 2.

The affected codes are Lot #471 with a “Best if Used by” date of 02/08/2028, according to the CFIA.

The recalling firm is Europena Ingredients Inc. The CFIA identification number for the recall is RA-82638, and the agency lists the recall as Class 2.

The CFIA published the notice on Sept. 17, 2026, and lists it as a notification recall in the food category “Condiments.”
