CFIA recalls Gerber arrowroot biscuits sold nationally and online over possible soft plastic and paper pieces
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) issued a food recall warning on Jan. 27, 2026, for Gerber brand arrowroot biscuits sold nationally and online because the product may contain pieces of soft plastic and paper.
The recall affects an infant food product, and the CFIA advised consumers to check for specific package identifiers to avoid using the recalled biscuits.
The CFIA said people should not consume, use, sell, serve or distribute the recalled product. The agency also said recalled products should be thrown out or returned to the location where they were purchased.
The recall applies to Gerber arrowroot biscuits sold in a 155 g package with UPC 0 55000 40314 6.

According to the CFIA, the product is being recalled from the marketplace due to the possible presence of soft plastic and paper pieces.
In its recall notice, the CFIA said the recall was triggered by the company. The recalling firm listed in the notice is Nestlé Canada Inc.
The CFIA said there have been no reported injuries associated with consumption of the product.
The agency said it is conducting a food safety investigation that may lead to the recall of other products, and it is verifying that industry is removing recalled products from the marketplace.
The recall is classified as Class 3. The identification number for the recall notice is RA-81542.
