CFIA recalls Hershey’s Kisses Creamy Milk Chocolate over undeclared almonds
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has recalled Hershey’s Kisses – Creamy Milk Chocolate because the candy may contain almonds that are not declared on the label. The recall, last updated Aug. 1, applies to 104 g and 200 g packages sold nationally with a best-before date of 2027 JN 01.
CFIA warned the product could cause serious or life-threatening reactions in people allergic or sensitive to almonds, a tree nut.
According to the recall notice, the affected products are being removed from the marketplace. CFIA said the recall was triggered by Hershey Canada Inc., the recalling firm.
CFIA reported one reaction associated with consumption of the recalled products.
The agency classified the recall as Class 1 and assigned it identification number RA-82433.

CFIA advised people not to serve, use, sell or distribute the recalled products. CFIA said the products should be thrown out or returned to where they were purchased.
CFIA said it is conducting a food safety investigation that may lead to the recall of other products. The agency said it is verifying the recalled products are being removed from the marketplace.
