CFIA recalls Richters dried lemongrass sold online in Ontario due to stones

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) posted a recall notification dated Sept. 23, 2026, for Richters brand dried lemongrass sold online in Ontario, citing the presence of stones.

For people who bought herbs or spices online, the notice provides a specific lot number to check to avoid using a product that may contain extraneous material.

The CFIA advised consumers and retailers not to use, sell, serve or distribute the affected product.

The recalled product is listed as “Richters Lemongrass - Dried Herb - Cut - Organic.” The size is described as variable and the UPC is listed as not applicable.

The affected lot number is 32078.

The recalling firm is Otto Richter and Sons Limited, operating as Richters Herbs, according to the CFIA.

The recall is classified as Class 3 and dated Sept. 16, 2026. The CFIA identification number for the notice is RA-82658.
