CFIA recalls SeaQuest and President’s Choice shrimp products due to undeclared mustard
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency is recalling SeaQuest Shrimp Ring with Mild Cocktail Sauce and President’s Choice Black Tiger Shrimp with Mild Cocktail Sauce across Canada due to undeclared mustard. The agency published the notification on Oct. 6, and lists the recall date as Oct. 1, 2026.
The recall affects shrimp products that may already be in store freezers or seafood sections, and the CFIA’s notice includes specific package sizes, UPCs and best before dates to help retailers and shoppers identify the affected items.
The CFIA lists the issue as “Food – Allergen – Mustard,” and the notice instructs: “Do not use, sell, serve or distribute the affected products.” The listed audience for the notice is retail, and distribution is described as national.
One of the affected products is President’s Choice Black Tiger Shrimp with Mild Cocktail Sauce (568 g), UPC 0 60383 18048 5. The best before dates listed are 2026 OC 06 and 2026 OC 07.
The other product is SeaQuest Shrimp Ring with Mild Cocktail Sauce (454 g), UPC 0 60383 18047 8. The best before dates listed are 2026 NO 05, 2026 NO 06, 2026 NO 26, 2026 NO 27, 2027 MR 04, 2027 AL 27, 2027 MA 07, 2027 JN 10, 2027 JN 11, 2027 JN 15, and 2027 JL 13.
The CFIA identifies Loblaw Companies Limited as the recalling firm. The recall is listed as Class 2, with identification number RA-82733.
