CFIA recalls Soo Mala Spicy Flavoured beef and pork jerky in Alberta and B.C. due to mould
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has issued a recall notice for Soo brand Mala Spicy Flavoured Beef Jerky and Mala Spicy Flavoured Pork Jerky because of mould, with distribution listed in Alberta and British Columbia. The CFIA lists the recall date as April 9, 2026.
The CFIA says the issue is a “non harmful (quality or spoilage)” microbial contamination, and the notice includes sizes, UPCs and product codes to help retailers identify affected packages.
The agency says the affected products should not be used, sold, served or distributed.
Soo Jerky Ltd. is listed as the recalling firm.

The CFIA lists the recall as Class 3. The identification number on the notice is RA-81877.
