CFIA recalls three Ajinomoto frozen meals due to possible glass pieces
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency has issued a recall for three Ajinomoto brand frozen meal products due to the possible presence of pieces of glass. Only packages with the best-before dates listed below are affected.
For residents in Northeast Ontario, the notice may be relevant because the CFIA lists the products’ distribution as national. The agency’s recall notice says consumers and businesses should not use, sell, serve or distribute the affected products.
Affected products include:
- Ajinomoto Yakitori Chicken with Japanese Style Fried Rice (1.53 kg), UPC 0 71757 05642 8 — Best before March 7, 2026 to Nov. 11, 2026
- Ajinomoto Tokyo Style Shoyu (Soy Sauce) Ramen with Chicken (1.6 kg), UPC 0 71757 07775 1 — Best before May 25, 2026 to May 11, 2027
- Ajinomoto Yakitori Chicken Fried Rice (510 g), UPC 0 71757 20803 2 — Best before Feb. 25, 2027
According to the CFIA, the recalling firm is Ajinomoto Foods North America.
The recall date is March 10, 2026, and it is a Class 2 recall. The notice was last updated March 17, 2026.
