CFIA recalls two Co-op Gold frozen chicken products sold in Ontario over undeclared egg
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency has posted a Class 2 recall for two Co-op Gold frozen chicken products sold in Ontario and other parts of Canada because egg is not declared on the label. The recall is dated Sept. 10, 2026, and the agency’s alert was originally published Sept. 14, 2026.
The recall matters for people with egg allergies, who could have a reaction if they eat a product that contains egg but does not list it. The CFIA says people should not use, sell, serve or distribute the affected products.
The first recalled item is Co-op Gold Chicken Burgers (904 g), UPC 0 57316 21795 0. The CFIA listed these codes:

- 2027-JL-02 LOT 101118
- 2027-JL-22 LOT: 101600
The second recalled item is Co-op Gold Maple & Brown Sugar Bacon Wrapped Chicken Bites (360 g), UPC 0 57316 21861 2. The CFIA listed this code:
- BB 2027-JN-03 LOT 100449
According to the CFIA, the products were distributed in Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, Northwest Territories, Nunavut, Ontario, Saskatchewan and Yukon.
Federated Co-operatives Limited is listed as the recalling firm. The CFIA identification number for this recall is RA-82621.
