CFIA says Cucina d’Oro pesto recalled in Ontario, Quebec and Alberta over improperly declared cashew

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency says Cucina d’Oro brand pesto sold in Alberta, Ontario and Quebec is being recalled because cashew was improperly declared on the label; the recall is dated Sept. 2, 2026.

The CFIA lists the issue as a food allergen (tree nut) concern involving cashew. The agency says people should not use, sell, serve or distribute the affected products.

The notice applies to two Cucina d’Oro pesto products in 212 ml containers.

One affected product has UPC 8 51119 10030 9 and the following codes: B.LM 356, P: 12/22/2023 and E: 01/03/2027.

The other affected product has UPC 8 51119 00129 3 and the following codes: Lot K085, P: 03/26/2026 and E: 03/26/2029.

The recalling firm is Vera Trima Import Export Inc., according to the CFIA.

The CFIA lists the recall as Class 3. The identification number is RA-82603.

The agency’s notification was last updated Sept. 4, 2026, and it lists the original published date as Sept. 4, 2026.
