CFIA warns of recall for inspiredgo salads and snack pack over Listeria risk

On Dec. 14, 2025, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) issued a Class 1 food recall warning for several inspiredgo ready-to-eat items sold online and in Alberta because of possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination. Sliced FC, a division of Star Produce Ltd., initiated the recall; no illnesses had been reported at the time.

Listeria can make people sick even when food does not look or smell spoiled. Symptoms can include vomiting, nausea, persistent fever, muscle aches, severe headache and neck stiffness. Pregnant women, older adults and people with weakened immune systems face higher risk.

CFIA advises consumers to check for the recalled products and not to consume, sell, serve, use or distribute them. Recalled items should be thrown out or returned to the place of purchase. Anyone who believes they became ill after consuming a recalled product should contact a healthcare provider.

Affected inspiredgo products, sizes, UPCs and production codes are:

  • Bento Noodle Bowl (Size: N/A; UPC: none; Codes: 49 C5, 49 C6, 49 C7)
  • Greek Mezze Salad (Size: N/A; UPC: none; Codes: 49 C5, 49 C6, 49 C7)

  • Pickle Platter Snack Pack (Size: N/A; UPC: none; Codes: 49 C5, 49 C6, 49 C7)

CFIA is conducting a food safety investigation that may lead to additional recalls and is verifying that industry is removing the products from the marketplace.

The recall carries identification number RA-81355. The original notice was published Dec. 14, 2025.
