CFIA warns of Yoplait YOP drinkable yogurt recall over possible plastic pieces

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency issued a Class 1 food recall warning on Nov. 22 for Yoplait YOP drinkable yogurt sold across Canada due to possible pieces of plastic. The agency advises people not to consume the recalled products and to throw them out or return them to the place of purchase.

The recall covers single 200 mL bottles and several multipack formats distributed nationally. Yoplait Canada triggered the recall. No injuries have been reported, according to the CFIA.

CFIA is conducting a food safety investigation, which may lead to the recall of other products. The agency is verifying that industry is removing recalled products from the marketplace.
