Clarington Council Passes By-laws and Reviews Community Requests at April 22 Meeting

The Council of the Municipality of Clarington held a regular meeting at the Municipal Administrative Centre in Bowmanville on April 22, 2025. The meeting began at 6:30 p.m.

Council adopted the meeting agenda and confirmed the minutes from the April 2, 2025 session. Members of the public attended, including delegations related to a special event application and a Newcastle Halloween Committee fee waiver request. Council referred the fee waiver request to municipal staff for further review and a report.

Committee reports and staff recommendations relating to municipal projects and finances were presented. Council approved the payment of general government accounts for March 2025. By-law 2025-034, regarding building permit fees for the year, was passed. Council also approved by-laws concerning property-related matters, including agreements connected to development projects in Bowmanville.
