Cochrane Implements New Garbage Collection Regulations

The Town of Cochrane has announced adjustments to the garbage collection process, effective immediately, aimed at enhancing operational efficiency. As per Infrastructure Services, garbage collection will not include bins that are overfull or have open lids. Residents who need to dispose of additional garbage must use a 'bag tag,' which can be purchased from the Town Office for $1.60 each.

Additionally, bins that are untagged or painted will not be serviced on collection days. Residents are required to place bins at the curb by 7:00 am and remove them promptly to avoid creating obstructions on walkways.

The town has emphasized their Respect and Responsibility (Rzone) Policy, which ensures protection for collection staff from any abusive language or actions by residents. This policy underlines the expected decorum towards collection workers.
