Cochrane Planning Board Sets Public Hearing for 455 Eighth Street Boundary Adjustment

An application for a boundary adjustment at 455 Eighth Street in Cochrane will be reviewed by the Cochrane and Suburban Planning Board during a public hearing on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. at Town Hall, 171 Fourth Avenue, as stated in a public notice issued August 29, 2025.

The Planning Board will hold the hearing so the public can share their views before a decision is made. According to the notice, CGV Developments is seeking consent to convey approximately 13,656.39 square meters (1.36 hectares) of vacant land to the parcel at 455 Eighth Street. If approved, the lot at 455 Eighth Street would increase to roughly 21,935.4 square meters (2.19 hectares) with about 109.4 meters (358.92 feet) of frontage on Eighth Street. The application indicates approximately 699,827.69 square meters (69.98 hectares) would remain with the original property. The affected property is described in the notice as Part Lots 19 and 20, Concession 2, Glackmeyer, in the Town of Cochrane.

The notice states that residents who want to participate in the hearing must notify the Town of Cochrane by Monday, October 6, 2025, to arrange attendance in person or electronically. Written requests to be notified of the Planning Board's final decision can be submitted to the Board. The notice explains that anyone wishing to appeal the Planning Board's decision must have submitted a written submission before the Board gives or refuses consent.
