Cochrane planning board to hold Feb. 19 special meeting on possible official plan revisions
The Cochrane and Suburban Planning Board will hold a special meeting on Thursday, Feb. 19, 2026, to discuss the ongoing Official Plan Review and Update for the Cochrane and Suburban Planning Area. The meeting is scheduled for 5 p.m. in the Town of Cochrane council chambers at Town Hall, 171 Fourth Ave., in Cochrane.
The official plan sets out growth and land-use policies for the Cochrane and Suburban Planning Area. The plan applies to all land within the planning area, and the planning board and the Town of Cochrane are reviewing it.
According to the Town of Cochrane’s notice, the Feb. 19 meeting will focus on the Official Plan Review and Update and on “revisions that may be required” to the official plan.
The town said the meeting is being held under Section 26(3) of Ontario’s Planning Act.
The Town of Cochrane said the meeting will be livestreamed on its website.
Minutes and a recording of the meeting will be posted on the Town of Cochrane website after the meeting, according to the notice.
