Cochrane proposes sale of unopened road allowance in Leitch Township

Cochrane proposes to close a portion of an unopened road allowance in Leitch Township and offer it for sale to Daniel and Carole Demers, according to a town notice dated November 3. Council is scheduled to consider the bylaw on November 24, 2026.

The proposal concerns approximately 1,907 square metres of municipal land between Lots 18 and 19, Concession 6, in the geographic Township of Leitch. The town also intends to declare the parcel surplus.

Council will consider the bylaw at its regular meeting at 6 p.m. in the Town Hall Council Chambers, 171 Fourth Avenue, Cochrane.

The town has not disclosed a proposed sale price in the notice.
