The Town of Cochrane is seeking public input on improving accessibility for residents, employees, visitors, and local businesses. Feedback will help identify, remove, and prevent barriers in the community. This input will shape Cochrane’s Multi-Year Accessibility Plan for 2024-2029.

The plan is developed under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA) and the Integrated Accessibility Standards Regulation (IASR). The town is asking for input on the following areas:

  • Customer Service
  • Information and Communication
  • Employment
  • Transportation
  • Design of Public Spaces

Residents can share their thoughts by taking a survey on the Let's Chat Cochrane platform. The survey will close on Friday, September 27, 2024.

The draft plan outlines how the town will continue to prevent and remove accessibility barriers in its services and facilities. To review the plan and provide feedback, residents can visit the town's website.
