The Competition Bureau of Canada has filed a lawsuit against Rogers Communications Inc., alleging that the company has been misleading consumers with its advertising of the Infinite wireless phone plans. The Bureau claims these plans, marketed as offering unlimited data, actually impose data caps. Once these caps are reached, the data speed is significantly reduced, or throttled, by over 99%.
