Contractor-hit water line causes temporary interruption in Cochrane; town has no repair timeline

A contractor struck a water line in Cochrane on Sept. 9, 2026, causing a temporary water interruption, according to the Town of Cochrane.

The town said its crews are working on repairs, but it has not provided an estimated time for the repairs to be completed.

In a notice posted online, the Town of Cochrane said it became aware of the break after “a contractor working in the area” hit the line. The town did not say where in Cochrane the break happened or which areas are experiencing the interruption.

The town said the issue had “just occurred” and that staff do not yet have a repair-completion estimate.
