Curbside Bulk Item Collection Scheduled in Timmins for Spring and Fall 2025

The City of Timmins announced that curbside bulk item collection will be available in spring and fall beginning in 2025. This service will be offered to households within the municipal waste collection area, according to the City.

The City of Timmins outlines that eligible items include large household items such as furniture and mattresses. Restrictions apply to certain items: renovation materials, hazardous waste, tires, and appliances containing Freon are not accepted. The City has indicated that each household can place up to three items per collection period, with each item weighing no more than 45 kilograms (100 pounds).

Bulk items must be placed at the curb by 7:00 a.m. on collection day. The City of Timmins states that it will provide specific collection dates prior to each pickup period.

Regular garbage, recycling, and other curbside collection services will continue as usual during the bulk item collection periods, as noted by the City of Timmins. Additional details, including lists of acceptable and unacceptable items, are available through official City sources.
