Driver charged with impaired driving, dangerous operation after two-vehicle crash in Timmins
A driver is facing impaired driving, dangerous operation and driving-under-suspension charges after a two-vehicle crash in Timmins near Rea Street North and Jubilee Avenue West on July 14, Timmins police said.
The Timmins Police Service said the driver’s identity is not being released because the information has not yet been sworn before the court.
Officers responded around 7:41 p.m. to the collision in the area of Rea Street North and Jubilee Avenue West, police said.
Police listed the following charges:
- Operation while impaired (blood drug concentration)
- Operation while impaired (alcohol and drugs)
- Dangerous operation
- Driving while under suspension (two counts)
The Timmins police traffic unit is continuing to investigate, and more charges may be considered as investigators review the circumstances of the crash, police said.
