Frozen Cumin Flavour Shrimp Recalled Due to Undeclared Wheat in Three Provinces

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has announced a recall of North Shore Fishery brand Frozen Cumin Flavour Shrimp due to the presence of undeclared wheat. The recall concerns 300-gram packages marked with UPC 8 00794 39087 1 and the following identifiers: Lot 39087 20260907, VN443IV030, and a best before date of September 7, 2026.

The affected product was distributed in Alberta, British Columbia, and Ontario, according to information posted by CFIA. The recall was initiated because wheat, a known allergen, was not listed on the product label.

CFIA classified the recall as Class 3. The notification is directed at retailers and warehouses, advising them not to use, sell, serve, or distribute the shrimp package described above.

Watson Enterprises Inc. is listed as the recalling firm. The notice was originally published by the CFIA on July 31, 2025. No illnesses or allergic reactions related to the North Shore Fishery shrimp were noted in the agency’s statement.
