Gino Bambino gluten-free pizza starter kit recalled due to mould, CFIA says
Molinaro’s Fine Italian Foods Ltd. has recalled Gino Bambino Gluten-Free Pizza Starter Kits (700 g) because of mould. The Canadian Food Inspection Agency lists the recall date as April 16, 2026.
The product was distributed nationally, meaning it may be in homes or on store shelves in Northeast Ontario communities. The CFIA advises people not to use, sell, serve or distribute the affected product.
The recalled item is the Gino Bambino brand “Gluten-Free Pizza Starter Kit” in a 700 g size. The UPC is 0 59949 05230 4.
The affected best-before codes are 2026 AL 22 and 2026 AL 28.
The CFIA lists the issue as “Food - Microbial contamination - Non harmful (quality or spoilage).” The recall is classified as Class 3, with identification number RA-81921.
