Highway 655 at Ross Avenue closed after vehicle-pedestrian collision in Timmins
Timmins Police said Dec. 8 that Highway 655 at Ross Avenue in Timmins is closed to all traffic after a serious collision involving a pedestrian and a vehicle. Officers are on scene and an investigation is underway.
In a notice posted Dec. 8, police asked drivers to avoid the area, use alternate routes, and give emergency personnel space to work. Police did not say when the road would reopen or release information about injuries.
Police described the incident as a serious motor vehicle collision and said the closure is temporary while investigators work at the intersection.
The advisory did not state how many people were involved. Police said they will provide further information when it becomes available.
