Highway 655 in Timmins reopens after closure for single-vehicle crash
Highway 655 in Timmins reopened at 10:48 a.m. after being closed between Ross Avenue East and Laforest Road because of a single-vehicle crash, according to the Timmins Police Service.
The closure affected a key stretch on the north side of the city while emergency crews attended the scene and police investigated, and drivers were told to expect possible delays.
In an online traffic advisory, Timmins police said the highway was closed between Ross Avenue East and Laforest Road as officers responded to the collision.
Drivers could detour via Laforest Road.
Police asked motorists to avoid the area and take alternate routes, if possible, and said drivers who were travelling through should use caution and follow directions from emergency personnel.
Police did not provide the time of the collision or say whether anyone was injured.
