Human remains found off Riverside Drive in Timmins; police say no foul play suspected

Timmins Police Service says human remains were found in a wooded area off Riverside Drive on Sept. 22, 2025, at about 1:21 p.m. Officers responded and confirmed the report. Police, working with the coroner’s office, are investigating. The service said no foul play is suspected.

In a statement on its website, the service said a forensic anthropologist and the Ontario Provincial Police Canine Unit are assisting with the investigation.

“No further details are available,” the Timmins Police Service said.
