Hydrant Flushing May Cause Water Discolouration in Smooth Rock Falls
Residents of Smooth Rock Falls are informed of potential water discolouration due to hydrant flushing activities. The Ontario Clean Water Agency (OCWA) will be conducting these operations on Maple and Pine streets. During this period, residents may experience low water pressure or discoloured water.
In the event of discoloured water, residents are advised to run their cold water taps for 10-15 minutes or until the water clears. If the issue persists past 4 PM, continuing to run the cold water tap is recommended until clarity is restored.
These activities are part of routine maintenance and are expected to be temporary. The town acknowledges the inconvenience and appreciates residents' patience during this time.
