James Bay OPP Detachment Board Seeks Community Representatives

The newly formed James Bay OPP Detachment Board – Board 3 is recruiting Community Representatives to serve on the Board.

The Community Representative position allows residents to help set objectives and priorities for the James Bay OPP Detachment – Board 3. The goal is to enhance the quality of life and ensure the safety and security of all persons and property in the detachment area.

The James Bay OPP Detachment Board – Board 3 consists of:

• One member appointed by each of the following municipalities: Town of Cochrane, Town of Moosonee, and Town of Smooth Rock Falls, totaling three members.
• Two members appointed by the Town of Cochrane who are neither members of the Council nor employees of the municipality (Community Representatives).
• One member appointed by the Minister.

Applications must be submitted by Friday, August 3rd, 2024, at 3pm.
