John Wright Appointed Director of Diagnostic Imaging Services at WAHA
Weeneebayko Area Health Authority (WAHA) and Timmins and District Hospital (TADH) have appointed John Wright as Director of Diagnostic Imaging Services at WAHA, according to a joint announcement released on September 12. The new position is a cross-organizational leadership role involving both WAHA and TADH.
The leadership appointment relates to the ongoing collaboration between the two health organizations and comes as WAHA prepares for redevelopment and a planned transition to a new facility in 2030.
WAHA stated that Wright has more than ten years of experience in diagnostic imaging, health services management, and project leadership. According to the organization, he began his career at WAHA as a Medical Radiation Technologist and later moved into leadership positions. WAHA also reported that Wright is currently an MBA candidate and oversees Diagnostic Imaging, Imaging Informatics, and Cardio-Respiratory Services at TADH.
The health authority said Wright received the Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medal in recognition of his work in healthcare leadership and service.
