Kapuskasing Sets Two-Day Hazardous Waste Drop-off for September 12-13

The Town of Kapuskasing, partnering with E360s, will hold a household hazardous waste collection on Friday, September 12 and Saturday, September 13, 2025, at the Sports Palace parking lot. The event runs from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on both days.

The Town states that hazardous waste is not accepted at the landfill and this event allows residents to dispose of such materials. Bins will also be available for the collection of tires, metal, and electronics. According to the Town, compost materials can be brought to the Compost Site at any time.

The Town advises that materials for drop-off should be put in clearly labeled containers. If a container is damaged, the Town instructs that it be placed in a plastic bag to prevent spills during transport. The Town also advises residents not to mix materials and to place items in the trunk of their vehicle. The Town says jerry cans can be brought to the event, emptied, and then returned. Washing hands thoroughly after handling chemicals is also recommended by the Town.

A complete list of unacceptable and acceptable items for the event is available on the Town of Kapuskasing’s website.
