Man dies after Dec. 7 crash on Highway 101 East in Porcupine, Timmins police say

A man died following a two-vehicle collision on Dec. 7 on Highway 101 East in Porcupine, Timmins police said Dec. 10. He was the only person in one vehicle; the occupants of the second vehicle had minor injuries and were treated and released.

Officers have responded to six fatal motor vehicle collisions in the city over the past two months, according to Timmins Police Service data. The Traffic Unit is investigating the Dec. 7 crash, and the service issued safety reminders for motorists and pedestrians.

Cst. Watson of the Traffic Unit said in a statement: “Over the last two months, we have responded to six fatal motor vehicle collisions in our community.
