Moosonee Council Discusses Key Policies and Personnel Matters

The Moosonee Town Council held a special meeting on September 5, 2024, to discuss several important draft policies and personnel matters. The meeting, which took place at the Town Hall, focused on reviewing the Code of Conduct for Council Members and Members of Local Boards Policy, the Code of Conduct Complaint Protocol for Members of Council, and the Council and Staff Relations Policy.

In addition to these policy discussions, the council convened a closed session under Section 239 (2) (b) of the Municipal Act. This session addressed personal matters concerning an identifiable individual, specifically related to municipal or local board employees. The Northeast Community Network (NeCN) was also a topic of discussion during this closed session.

These discussions are part of the council's ongoing efforts to ensure transparency and accountability in its operations, while also addressing personnel issues that require confidentiality.
