Municipality Issues Advisory on Spring Water Runoff and Drainage
With spring temperatures rising, increased melting of ice and snow is resulting in water runoff in many northern Ontario communities. The Municipality has advised residents to check for drainage issues around their homes during this period.
According to the Municipality, residents should inspect catch basins, gutters, and other drainage pathways to ensure they are not blocked by debris or ice. Blocked drainage can lead to water accumulation near homes, on sidewalks, and on streets.
These recommendations were issued by the Municipality as part of routine spring advisories.
