New Stop Sign Installation at Boundary Lane and Fourth Avenue in Schumacher

On October 2, 2024, the Public Works Traffic Department will install a new stop sign at the intersection of Boundary Lane and Fourth Avenue in Schumacher. This addition will convert the intersection into a three-way, all-stop intersection.

The intersection is noted for its unique configuration, where Fourth Avenue turns at Boundary Lane, requiring a stop for through traffic. All vehicles approaching the intersection will be required to come to a complete stop before proceeding. The right-of-way will be granted to the first vehicle that arrives at the intersection. In cases where two or more vehicles arrive simultaneously, the vehicle to the right will have the right-of-way. If vehicles are directly across from each other, the vehicle going straight will proceed first.
