Ontario Parks Permits Now Available for Loan at Timmins Public Library

The Timmins Public Library is offering Ontario Parks Day-Use Vehicle Permits for borrowing to adult library cardholders, the library announced. These permits allow vehicle access to more than 100 provincial parks across Ontario for a period of seven days.

The lending program is available at both the Timmins Main Branch and the C.M. Shields Centennial Branch in South Porcupine, according to library information. This provides residents with a way to access provincial parks using library resources.

According to the library, there are six permits available: four at the Timmins Main Branch and two at the C.M. Shields Centennial Branch. Borrowing is limited to one permit per household and is only open to holders of an adult membership card in good standing. Permits cannot be renewed. The library states that late or replacement fees will apply if a permit is returned late or lost.

The library advises that quantities are limited and that availability can be checked through the Timmins Public Library’s online catalogue.
