Public Hearing Scheduled for Land Severance in Cochrane

A public hearing is set to take place regarding an application for a provisional consent to sever land in the Cochrane and Suburban Planning Area. The hearing will be conducted by the Cochrane Suburban Planning Board on December 4, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. at Town Hall, located at 171 Fourth Avenue, Cochrane, Ontario.

The application, submitted by Pine Stone Holdings Ltd., seeks approval to create a new residential lot of approximately 2.02 hectares (5 acres) with a frontage of about 165.56 meters (543.18 feet) on Malherbe Road. The remaining land will consist of approximately 59.11 hectares (146.06 acres) with a frontage of about 340.14 meters (1,115.94 feet) on the same road.

Members of the public are invited to attend the hearing to express their views. Those wishing to participate electronically should contact the planning board by December 2, 2024. Written submissions are also welcome and will be included in the public record.
