Public Hearing Set for Cochrane Minor Variance Application

A public hearing is scheduled to discuss a minor variance application in Cochrane. The application, identified as A08-2024, involves properties at 335 and 343 Tenth Street. The owner, J. Bussiere, seeks to reduce the interior side yard setbacks to construct a four-unit residential dwelling. The current zoning by-law requires a minimum setback of 1.2 meters, but the application proposes a reduction to 0.91 meters.

The hearing will take place on December 4, 2024, at 6:30 p.m. at the Town Hall, located at 171 Fourth Avenue, Cochrane. Interested parties can participate by contacting the town's office by December 2, 2024. Written submissions are encouraged and can be sent via email, regular mail, or delivered in person.

The Committee of Adjustment will consider submissions in support or opposition during the hearing. Those wishing to be notified of the decision must make a written request to the Committee. Appeals to the Ontario Land Tribunal are limited to the applicant, the Minister, certain specified persons, or public bodies.
