Railway Crossing Upgrades Set for Black River-Matheson in Late July and August

Ontario Northland is scheduled to upgrade two railway crossings in Black River-Matheson during the last week of July and the first week of August, according to a public notice issued by the Township on July 22.

The Township notice states that work will take place daily from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the north side of 1st Avenue crossing and at 4th Avenue crossing. Residents are advised by the Township that minor delays may be expected at both locations while the upgrades are underway.

No additional information has been provided in the notice regarding the specific nature of the upgrades or further traffic management during the work period.
