Redpath 20-kg Medium Sugar recalled in Ontario and Quebec due to possible metal pieces

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency says Redpath brand Medium Sugar sold in 20-kilogram bags is being recalled in Ontario and Quebec because it may contain pieces of metal. The agency lists the recall date as Oct. 8, 2026.

The notice is directed at hotels, restaurants and institutions, and the agency says the affected product should not be used, sold, served or distributed.

According to the CFIA, the recalled product is Redpath Medium Sugar in a 20 kg size with UPC 00062847030053 and code R6275.

The CFIA lists the recalling firm as Redpath Sugar Ltd. The agency classified the recall as Class 2 and assigned identification number RA-82762.

The CFIA published the recall notice on Oct. 9, 2026.
