Smooth Rock Falls Announces August 4 Town Hall Closure, Outlines By-law Procedures and Safety Reminders

The Town of Smooth Rock Falls announced in its Citizen's Corner bulletin that Town Hall will be closed on August 4, 2025, for the long weekend.

According to the bulletin, residents are reminded of local by-law enforcement procedures and road safety, with updates relevant to community members.

The bulletin states that Smooth Rock Falls uses the Administrative Monetary Penalty System (AMPS) to address violations of municipal by-laws, which include property standards, yard maintenance, and other municipal regulations. The system allows the town to issue fines and provides residents with access to appeal processes and payment options. According to the bulletin, AMPS is intended to streamline enforcement and improve compliance with local regulations.
